Gary on Multi-tasking
“I’m most proud of having successfully worn a number of hats over the past two decades, side by side with family members and staff, to help grow All Star to what it is today. I left a one-dimensional sales job to join what was then a 5-person business. Soon, my duties would include everything from front-line sales to shipping assistance to modeling logo apparel to organizing our fledgling New England Incentive Show. We’ve grown tenfold since then, and some of those hats have been removed, but there is one thankless job I refuse to give up— managing the disbursement of our Red Sox season tickets!”
Gary on Challenges
“What gets me up in the morning is knowing that today will be different than yesterday or tomorrow. Whether researching a new client industry, planning for a casino event or trade show, responding to a client challenge or dealing with an operations issue, there is no blueprint for how my day will proceed. This suits me just fine. I welcome new challenges and variety, and I have no shortage of that here.”
Principal/New Business Development
After four years as an Account Manager in the Retail Food & Drug Division at NCR Corporation, Gary joined All Star in 1990. He has managed many high-profile accounts while at All Star, including Dunkin’ Donuts, Allied-Signal and many major casinos over the last 20 years in providing loyalty and event programs to that industry, beginning with Foxwoods Resort Casino. Among Gary’s achievements are winning IMRA’s Gold Key award for an Autolite dealer promotion and an AIM Outstanding Promotion award for Dunkin’ Donuts. Gary is a cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management. Gary enjoys golfing, and as a member of the Screen Actors Guild, won a SAG award in 2016 for his work in the film “Spotlight”. Gary has recently stepped back from day to day activities at All Star to pursue more of his other interests, including audiobook narration, but remains active on the new business development side for the company.
