Simple but effective. During a recent visit to my local grocer I was reminded how even simple recognition can make someone’s day. There is a bell near the exit door with a sign that states “ring the bell if you experienced great customer service today”. As a happy customer was leaving the store she rang the bell. At that moment all of the associates stopped what they were doing; they smiled, simultaneously clapped their hands and applauded each other for a job well done. The smiles remained on their faces as they went back to work.
